38 Studios, an entertainment and IP creation company, today unveiled http://reckoningthegame.com, the product launch site for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The website was designed and developed by Optaros, a full-service provider of agile web solutions, and is designed to introduce 38 Studios and its role-playing game to the video gaming community. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will be published by Electronic Arts and is planned for release in fall 2011.

ReckoningTheGame.com provides visitors with an immersive experience that draws them into the game’s world, largely through interactive content such as story and lore articles, concept art, in-game screenshots, production-quality video and multimedia signature atmospherics (e.g. audio and motion graphics).

The visual design and well-choreographed navigation brings visitors deeper into the story as content is layered atop itself with every click, giving fans a sense of becoming increasingly a part of the Kingdoms of Amalur universe. All of these elements, in combination, help guests become familiar with the storyline and combat features of the game before ever picking up a controller.

The mobile site includes high levels of artistry and smart, intuitive navigation. While many mobile sites are pared down versions of the traditional website, this was designed specifically for smart phone users, in an effort to provide a rich experience despite screen size and bandwidth limitations.
