Though originally born and raised on the East Coast, Philip found himself in California pursuing a career in video games. He began with NCsoft, where he was head game master for Lineage II, spent time running the localization department, and ultimately moved into design where he worked on Tabula Rasa and other unannounced projects.

A lifelong gamer, Philip started playing Atari 2600 at a very young age; he will forever be haunted by the fact that he missed out on Pong while it was still new. He has made an ongoing effort to play the best games available across many platforms and genres. Some of his favorites include: EverQuest, Tribes 2, Starcraft, The Longest Journey, Aliens vs Predator 2 (but not the movie), Shadow of the Colossus, and Night Trap.

When not gaming or working as a game designer, Philip can be found consuming large quantities of ketchup.
