On February 24, 38 Studios was honored to host famed fantasy authors Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. The pair, best known for their New York Times bestselling Dragonlance novels, were in town promoting their new novel Bones of the Dragon, the debut of a new series called Dragonships of Vindras. The entire studio packed into the giant conference room we call the “War Room” to hear Margaret and Tracy share tales of their creation of countless worlds, their time at TSR, and the many humorous moments along the way. Tracy even took over a white board to share some theories on character development. Admittedly, we here at 38 are a little spoiled on the author front with R. A. Salvatore wandering the halls (not to mention our CMO Mary Kirchoff's multiple best-sellers), but we are not ashamed to show you pictures of the geeked-out stampede generated by the promise of shiny new copies of Bones of the Dragon autographed by our gracious guests.
