On October 1, Sony released the new PSP Go, a tiny, hand-held device slightly bigger than an iPhone. This console allows users to download games over a wireless connection, as opposed to requiring cartridges or discs. To go along with this release, Sony has nearly doubled the number of games available for download in the PlayStation Store, adding games like Gran Turismo, MLB 09 The Show, and God of War: Chains of Olympus.

In addition to offering regular games at the usual prices, Sony has introduced seven "Minis"— smaller games priced between $5 and $10. Highlighted on this list is Fieldrunners, the run-away iPhone hit from 38's Jamie Gotch and the team at Subatomic Studios. Honored to be one of the first Minis to be showcased on the PSP Go, Fieldrunners launched with new maps, towers, and fieldrunners, as well as themed music and enhanced graphics.
