One of the priorities of 38 Studios, in addition to making great entertainment products, is to foster game development and encourage budding developers throughout New England. As part of our commitment to the community, 38 often sends team members to local colleges and universities to guest lecture or participate on panels about the video game industry.
Last week was no exception — on Wednesday, October 21st, Bill Mrochek visited Becker College's beautiful Leicester, Massachusetts campus (the 19th oldest campus in the country!) to talk about software as a service in the online gaming industry. He discussed how the use of a customer-oriented approach gives a different perspective on service, and can allow you to satisfy the needs of your customers in a more efficient, effective way. Pulling from his fourteen years of management experience, Bill fielded all sorts of questions after his talk, giving guidance and recommendations to the student audience.
A big thanks to Becker College and all the game majors that came out to listen and chat with Bill last week. We hope you had fun, and we look forward to visiting Becker again soon.
