Summary

As a Web Production Artist, you will be part of a team responsible for designing and implementing best-in-class websites and social applications for 38 Studios’ fantasy-based IP products. This will be a diverse and demanding role. A successful candidate will have a firm understanding of MMOs and the online websites and applications that support them, as well as a solid background in web production.

Position Responsibilities

• Refine Photoshop comps from the web design team to perfection, making them implementation-ready by updating imagery and text, fine-tuning layouts, and ensuring adherence to formatting and layer structure guidelines.
• Support engineering with HTML/CSS updates (layout changes, image swaps and cross-platform quality assurance).
• Work closely with marketing and business affairs teams to ensure efficient file handoffs.
• Review final web pages and HTML email with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, text and links are flawless.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements

Knowledge

• Expert in HTML, Adobe CS4 (Photoshop, Illustrator) and MS Office.
• Experience with Flash a strong plus.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills. 
• Knowledge of social networking tools and sites required.
• Experience with the scrum development process desirable.
• Knowledge of source control software such as Perforce or SVN.

• A self-starter who can jump in quickly without a lot of direction, and learn by asking the right questions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Solid organization and efficient time management skills.

Experience

• 2-5+ years web production experience working on high-volume, dynamic and scalable web sites as well as social and mobile applications.
• Experience launching large-scale websites.
