Summary

As the Senior Product Manager focused on the MMO project code-named Copernicus, you will drive the overall acquisition and retention of marketing strategies and manage brand identity to ensure marketing plans, communications and materials are consistent with the broader Amalur IP. You will work with the VP of Marketing, Development and Live teams and 3rd parties to develop the execution of marketing ideas and the relationship with potential publishing partners. You will also represent 38 Studios at events, demoing games and coordinating outreach.

Position Responsibilities

• Drive the overall acquisition and retention of marketing strategies for 38 Studios' MMO Project Copernicus.
• Work with the development team, the VP of Marketing and 38 Studios Creative Services to brief, create and deliver world class marketing assets to support the MMO launch.
• Work with the relevant internal teams to develop compelling player retention plans based on data and other market intelligence, supported by stand-out assets and clear, relevant communication.
• Manage marketing asset production with external vendors and internal departments including video and screenshot production, logo, packaging, advertising materials, product website, merchandise and artwork.
• Own the day to day marketing relationship with any potential publishing partner for Project Copernicus and represent the game and studio to other relevant 3rd parties.
• Ensure all Project Copernicus marketing plans, communications and marketing materials are consistent with the broader Amalur IP
• Manage the Project Copernicus asset approval process with internal stakeholders and legal.
• Represent 38 Studios at events, demoing games and coordinating outreach.
• Co-manage Project Copernicus social media cadence and editorial with the 38 Studios Community team.
• Manage internal MMO marketing budgets.
• Work with 38 Studios PR team and external agencies to drive positive coverage for 38 Studios and Project Copernicus in the media.
• Establish, track, analyze and report buzz metrics for MMO and key competitors.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

• Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Creative track record in production, advertising or similar field a distinct plus.
• Video or Social game marketing experience highly preferred.
• Strong familiarity with social media and online marketing a plus.
• Ability to think both strategically and operationally.
• Able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Thorough understanding of videogame culture and dynamics essential.
• Extensive experience playing MMO games essential.
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years progressively responsible product marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
