Team members are expected to give their all while in the studio but at the end of the day, to go home and spend time with their family and friends. 38 Studios pays 100% of the benefits offered to all permanent, full time employees. Our package is just one illustration of our commitment to quality of life – it is one of the most comprehensive packages offered by, well, just about any company regardless of industry.

Medical
38 Studios uses the #1 commercial health plan in America (according to U.S. News & World Report), offering the most comprehensive plan available. Employees pick their providers without referrals, and can choose a single, single plus one dependant, or family contract. The company pays 100% of this coverage, which is effective on the first day of employment.

Vision/Dental
Similar to the medical plan, both vision and dental plans are paid 100% by the company, and offer comprehensive coverage.

Disability & Life Insurance
38 Studios’ benefits package includes comprehensive short and long-term disability insurance for all full time employees. In addition, life insurance coverage is offered to all 38 Studios’ full and part-time employees.

401(k)
A 401(k) Qualified Retirement Plan is currently offered by 38 Studios at a 100% match of the first 6% of an employee’s deferral (this is subject to change on an annual basis). Investing in a 401(k) is a great way to save money for retirement.

FSA
A Flexible Spending Account plan is available to all regular, full time employees. This is a pre-tax benefit that allows employees the ability to set aside money for non-reimbursable medical, dental, vision, or over-the-counter expenses. It can also be used for dependent care expenses.

Gym
The Timonium, Maryland office has an on-premises gym available to all employees. With this level of accessibility, it’s just a bit easier to make the commitment to get regular exercise.
